When the first Barbie doll was introduced in 1959, she became a model of sophistication and beauty for girls everywhere. Mattel offered both a brunette and blonde Debut - 1959 Barbie. In fact, one out of every three Barbie dolls offered in 1959 was dark-haired, making the brunette dolls more scarce.

After receiving many requests for the brunette version, Keepsake Ornament artist Patricia Andrews created this Club-exclusive Brunette Barbie - Debut 1959 Keepsake Ornament to complement the Barbie Collector's Series.
