This 1975 Hallmark Christmas Ornament set is part of the "Tree-Trimmer Collection," featuring four mini, frosted glass balls with silver caps and plastic sleeves, printed with the ragdoll characters, "Buttons" and "Bo." Beatrice Button worked with Hallmark Cards, in the mid-70's, as a freelance artist and is best known for her ragdoll characters, "Buttons & Bo," which had their own logo. Her line is highly collectible by vintage art lovers. Each ball has "Christmas 1975" in bright blue on one side and a scene with one or both of the ragdolls on the other. One shows the girl, "Buttons," standing under the mistle-toe waiting for a kiss. Another shows Bo holding a wreath. The other has Buttons offering a holiday dessert to Bo, while the last one shows Buttons and Bo getting ready to hang their stockings, with Bo carrying a hammer.
Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
