This Hallmark Christmas Ornament set is part of the "Tree-Trimmer Collection" and contains four mini, frosted glass balls, with silver caps and plastic, printed sleeves, each one depicting a different animal and festive scene. Each bulb has "CHRISTMAS 1975," printed in blue on one side. One features a red bird, singing Christmas carols with an angel-child reading sheet music, while perched in an evergreen tree. Another shows the angel decorating a large evergreen branch with a string of berries, along with her chipmunk friend. The next ball has the angel talking to a bird on a berry bush branch, and on the last one, the angel's perched on the berry bush branch, reaching down to pet a little mouse.
Ruth Morehead (1926–2004) , the American illustrator whose beloved designs were featured prominently on vintage Hallmark products, created signature characters for decades and this "Little Miracles" line: was one of her most celebrated contributions to the Hallmark legacy, showcasing little angels, cherubs, and animal pairs, which expanded into these highly-collectible glass ball Christmas ornaments.
Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
