This 1975 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament is a white satin ball with clear plastic sleeve featuring Santa Claus, as depicted by the famous Americana illustrator, Norman Rockwell. In one image he has just come down the chimney and is holding up a stocking to be filled. In another, he is looking through a telescope to observe the girls and boys of the world. He is making a list of who is naughty and who is nice. The ornament reads: "Merry Christmas 1975.".\
Norman Percevel Rockwell (1894–1978), the American painter and illustrator, is most famous for the decades of magazine covers he created for The Saturday Evening Post, showing a sentimental and now, nostalgic, view of American life. Also notable is his long-lasting relationship with the Boy Scouts of America's publication "Boys' Life" (now known as "Scout Life"). A prolific artist, he produced over 4,000 original works in his lifetime, most of which are now in public collections.
