1979 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament

This 1979 Hallmark Christmas Ornament is part of the Tree-Trimmer Collection and features a golden glass ball with metal cap and transparent, plastic sleeve printed with black-capped chickadees perches on evergreen and holly branches. Two panels, bordered with a red frame, show snow falling on hungry birds, both perched and in mid-landing. The side with one eating a holly berry, reads "Beauty is a gift nature gives every day." The other side has two birds, sitting on a snow-covered branch, both watching the other come in for a landing, and has "Christmas 1979" in the top corner, with the date also in the copyright below, along the edge of the border. The ornament is packaged in the original box with windows on all sides, so you can view the entire ball.

Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
