First seen in 1947, the legendary LIONEL GG-1 is one of the most popular locomotives in the company's nearly 100-year history. It is patterned after the Pennsylvania Railroad GG-1 Electric Locomotive developed in the 1930's to speed passenger trains through the northeastern rail corridors.
