Dan Marino could always throw the ball. His first QB role was in games of "street football" in his Pittsburgh neighborhood. He played both football and baseball in grade school and high school, turning down an offer to play pro-baseball after graduation. Marino gained national attention leading his Pittsburgh University Panthers to postseason bowl games. In 1983 he was the Miami Dolphins' first-round draft choice. In his second season he led them to Super Bowl XIX. Known for his strong right arm and lightning-quick release, he has thrown for more than 50,000 yards and completed 385 touchdown passes. #5 in the Football Legends series!
