When introduced in 1957, the 746 Norfolk and Western Steam Locomotive was the most powerful in the Lionel line -- "the granddaddy of all steamers". The N&W train was easily recognized by the distinctive burgundy color band that extended from the front of the streamlined locomotive to the back of its tender. Made of die-cast metal.
