When HOT WHEELS cars debuted in 1968, the packaging was as revolutionary as the cars. Emblazoned with the fiery HOT WHEELS logo, the package declared its contents were unlike other toy cars -- these were "California Custom Miniatures," crafted to be just like real tricked out muscle cars. This ornament re-creates the excitement of one of the most famous cars in that first Hot Wheels series, the DEORA. A hinged door on the ornament's back allows removal of the car ornament for display separately. The car was offered in both metallic red or green.
