Batgirl uses the purple-and-gold costume associated with the 1966 television series, fixing Barbara Gordon to one screen interpretation. the I.S.S. Enterprise belongs to Star Trek’s Mirror Universe, where the I.S.S. name signals a different reality from the usual U.S.S. ship. Together, these licensed designs capture three sharply different kinds of 2019 storytelling.
