The broad 2022 limited-edition group records many release paths rather than one coordinated event. Club pieces, July and October releases, convention exclusives, colorways, an employee gift, and special merchandise all appear in the year. Those labels explain audience and purpose; they do not replace the ornament’s series name, number, or subject.

Rocking Horse Memories Zebra turns a familiar rocking-horse form into a striped animal special edition. Terrific Trombone continues the miniature band through the instrument named in its title. One changes an established toy silhouette; the other adds a tiny musician whose trombone controls the pose.

Mouse King is number four in Nutcracker Sweet and also a club release. The number preserves story order, while club wording explains distribution. A Heartfelt Thank You belonged to Hallmark employees, giving it a different original audience from store-event and convention ornaments.

Other 2022 pieces marked the fiftieth anniversary of a 1972 Pontiac Firebird, the twenty-fifth anniversary of A Pony for Christmas, and the twentieth Christmas Window. Disney villains, Sonic’s Dr. Eggman, Star Wars characters, Snowtop Lodge, and event colorways widened established worlds. San Diego Comic-Con and Star Wars Celebration releases came through fan events rather than normal seasonal programs. The result is best read as forty-nine distinct side stories whose exact titles preserve series position, anniversary, access path, and character role.

A changed palette can preserve an existing sculpt and its familiar shape, while a complement adds a new partner without changing the annual count. One decision changes color and finish; the other changes the cast. Both widen an established collection, but they do so through different kinds of design.
