This 2026 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features the brave hobbit, "
Frodo Baggins," from the J.R.R. Tolkien books and movie, "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring." He's the main character, chosen to carry the "One Ring," a dangerously powerful ring created by the Dark Lord, Sauron, which he is to destroy in the fires of Mount Doom, so it can't be used for evil. Frodo wears a green cloak over his red and brown traveling clothes, and holds his magical, Elven dagger, "Sting," which he uses as a sword, and emits a blue light whenever goblins or orcs are near. His big, hairy hobbit feet stand on a tuft of grass above the "Bag End," his expansive, underground "smial," the hobbit house in the Shire, on top of The Hill at Hobbiton. Even though he is small and not very strong, Frodo shows great courage and determination throughout his journey. He is helped by his loyal friend Samwise (see ornament
QXI1643) and other companions, but the journey becomes very difficult and takes a heavy toll on him. Frodo's story is about bravery, friendship, and doing what is right even when it feels impossible.
