2026 Hallmark Magic Ornament

QXI1463

This 2026 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament features Aunt Bethany's white angora cat from the 1989 comedy holiday movie, "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." Shown on a red and green base with the logo and images from the film, the cat is on the floor, happily chewing the cord of a lit string of white Christmas lights. Unfortunately, this state of happiness is temporary, due to the cat being electrocuted and then "smoking." Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) remarks: "If that thing had nine lives, she just spent 'em all." Uncle Lewis (William Hickey) then sets the tree on fire with his cigar, but you're safe to bring this 'lil kitty home to your tree, as long as you don't have an "Unlce Lewis!" Fun Fact: The cat from the movie was supposedly owned by the actress playing Ellen Griswold, Beverly D'Angelo. Magic Light and Sound activate when you press the button in front of the cat to see it light-up and get "fried," while listening to sound effects from the film. The ornament can stand on it's own, or be hung from the top, and is dated on the underside of the base.
