October’s 2026 limited editions add side stories and unusual characters rather than forming a single series. Two pieces show how carefully the word “series” must be read. Dancer, Eight Tiny Reindeer #2 follows Dasher and the order named in A Visit from St. Nicholas. Allie Robillard gives Dancer a pink blanket, red ribbon, and gold bell. Because the box carries #2, Dancer advances the annual line; a related reindeer without a number would not.

Gnome for Christmas #6 continues a separate run built around a recurring gnome whose activity and accessories change each year. The pointed hat and beard hold the character idea together, while the number identifies the exact chapter. A matching limited companion can share the look without becoming #7.

Disney park history supplies a much stranger subject. Disney Jingle Cruise draws on the holiday version of Jungle Cruise and the Hallmark movie Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True. Mickey pilots a decorated riverboat, and the sound feature uses skipper-style holiday dialogue. This is not simply a boat from a Disney film; it records a seasonal change made to a famous attraction.

Screen comedy appears in Clark Griswold from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. The character figure differs from the year’s Nine Lives Spent Magic scene, even though both come from the same movie. That contrast captures the purpose of October limited releases: they can spotlight a second character, an alternate scene, or a related branch that the regular assortment did not cover. The release month connects these ornaments, while their numbers, subtitles, and story details explain where each truly belongs. It never turns them into one numbered collection.
