Lighthouses
Lighthouse Hallmark Ornaments
(1994-PRESENT)
The Lighthouse Hallmark category reaches back to the 1994 Candy Cane Lookout Magic ornament, then settles into the numbered Lighthouse Greetings series beginning with 1997 Lighthouse Greetings #1. The theme later shifts into the Holiday Lighthouse line, where snowy buildings, beacon rooms, glowing windows, and power-cord effects become the main attraction. Lighthouse Hallmark Ornaments shows a 1997 span in its heading, but the selection includes the 1994 Magic lighthouse item before the numbered series begins.
Lighthouses work beautifully as ornaments because the subject already carries light, height, weather, and a sense of distance. Coastal highlights begin with the older 1997 Lighthouse Greetings #1 establishes the greeting-card feel of the early run, while 2012 Holiday Lighthouse #1, Magic Cord begins the later Holiday Lighthouse numbering. The newer 2025 Holiday Lighthouse #14, Requires Keepsake Power Cord, Magic and 2026 Holiday Lighthouse #15, Magic show how the category has leaned into Keepsake Power Cord and Magic features. Across the full group, the details move from simple seaside welcome scenes to miniature buildings that feel cold outside and warmly lit inside.
