1973 is the first year Hallmark released ornaments. This 1973 Tree Trimmer Christmas Ornament is a blown glass ball with a silver cap and plastic printed sleeve, featuring Santa waiting for his elves to finish mending his suit. He's already wearing his red stocking cap with white fur cuff and pom pom, a fresh bunch of holly leaves and berries affixed to the front center. He sits patiently in tattered red overalls, with red and green socks and a green and yellow striped shirt. His pince-nez glasses sit low on the bridge of his nose, while two elves do the sewing and three others bring his red and green mittens, shoes, and jingle bells.
Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
