This 1978 Hallmark Christmas Ornament is part of the Tree-Trimmer Collection and features a bell in various shades of tan, beige, and brown, with "CHRISTMAS 1978," on both sides. It's a reproduction of a design originally created by Hallmark artist, Robert G. Schneeberg. Production required an extensive 82-step process, in order to mimic the depth and natural grain of a traditional wood-carving. A highly detailed piece, it remains a standout classic for fans of vintage Christmas collectibles. It has an intricate, inlaid wood look and the lettering appears like old typeset letters, each within their own block, in different colors. The stars under the lettering are also different sizes. Metallic-gold flowers with dusty blue centers and clay-colored herringbone patterns draw attention first but the ten layers of different designs each contribute to the composite look. The ornament is copyrighted on the underside of the base and is packaged in the original metallic-gold box, with clear, plastic lid, molded black flocked velvet plastic tray, and the original metallic-gold tag.
