1980 Christmas Charmer, Rare - No Box
1980 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QX2194NB
This 1980 Hallmark Christmas Ornament is part of the Tree-Trimmer Collection and features a golden glass ball, with metal cap, and transparent plastic sleeve, printed with the little "Charmers" and the caption: "Christmas... the warmest, brightest season of all. Christmas 1980." The background on both panels is a bright red, and with the glowing light from the fireplace and Christmas tree, it gives a warm feeling of cozy comfort. The children are engaged in various Christmas Eve activities, awaiting Santa with anticipation while they hang stockings, pet the cat in front of the fireplace, wrap presents with a little kitten, admire the Christmas tree with the puppy, look at the snow falling out the window, and fall asleep in a comfy chair with toys. The artist's signature is under the stool the tallest child stands on to hang the stocking, and the copyright is also dated, printed in between panels, on the sleeve.
Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
NOTE: Golden glass balls have a tendency to develop more age spots than white, frosted, or chrome balls, and this is normal aging for that material.
