1981 Grandson
1981 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QX6042
This 1981 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament is an unbreakable, white satin ball with a clear, plastic sleeve, featuring Santa filling his patched-up bag with toys and getting ready to tie it up. On the side of the magic brown sack is the sentiment: "A GRANDSON MAKES THE 'HOLLY DAYS' EXTRA BRIGHT AND JOLLY DAYS! CHRISTMAS 1981." The opposite panel shows him seated at a wooden table with one of his reindeer, making toys. He's in his suit but not wearing his hat, and they're both seated in light green, wooden chairs, painted with a pink flower, in the center of the top plank. A green wreath with a large red bow on top, decorated with red, blue, and orange ball ornaments, hangs above them, on the wall. Santa's got a hammer and nails in front of him, while working on the rifle of a toy soldier, dressed in blue. The reindeer, wearing a red collar with jingle bells, happily paints a toy red but it's a little sloppy... however, in the spirit of fairness, hooves are hard to paint with! The ornament is packaged in the original "window" box, viewable from all sides, so you can see the entire bulb.
