1983 Christmas Koala
1983 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QX4199
This 1983 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament features a flocked velvet koala bear, shyly holding an evergreen branch with red berries. The copyright is dated on the underside and the ornament can sit on it's own or be hung from the top. It's packaged in the original full color box.
Fun Fact: Koalas are actually marsupials, not bears, which means they carry their young in a pouch, as do kangaroos. A baby koala, like baby kangaroos, is called a "joey" and is the size of a jelly bean. Koalas sleep 18-22 hours daily, in order to conserve energy and digest their food. They also have two thumbs on each front paw, which helps them to grip branches tightly.
