A variety of mechanical beings known as droids were important to the success of the Rebel Alliance. K-3PO (white) and R-3PO (red), a pair of protocol droids, assisted the Alliance during the Galactic Civil War, most notably during the Battle of Hoth. While the red-plated R-3PO was assigned to the droid pool working within the ice world???s secret Echo Base, the white-armored K-3PO served as an advisor to the base's command center.
