Holiday Parade

Holiday Parade Hallmark Ornaments

(2019 - )

Holiday Parade began in 2019 as a numbered series of rolling business floats driven by snowmen. Each vehicle has moving wheels and advertises a different shop through its signs, cargo, and the driver’s costume. The repeated parade format holds the series together, while the changing business supplies each year’s joke.

2023 Joanne's Christmas Boutique belongs to a related 2023 collection of powered storefronts rather than the numbered vehicle count. Joanne’s shop, Anita’s Pet Shop, and Gregor’s Trattoria create a street around the parade and can combine light, music, and performance when connected to the intended system.

2024 Holiday Parade #6 is the sixth numbered float and promotes Orville’s Computer Store. Computer-repair messages on the sides turn technical service into parade advertising. 2025 Holiday Parade #7 follows with Lindsay’s Bookshop, where green books form a Christmas tree and the snowman wears a “Word Nerd” cap.

Storefronts and trucks have different places in the collection. Buildings supply a destination and a street scene; the numbered vehicles form the annual parade itself. Counting only the trucks preserves the official order, while the Happy Holiday Parade buildings remain companions rather than missing parade numbers.

The series borrows the language of a small-town civic parade. Instead of one grand sponsor, each snowman represents a local trade, from computer repair to bookselling. The wheels make the floats capable of an actual procession across a tabletop. Shop-themed jokes then work as part of the event: a stack of green books can become a Christmas tree, and a repair slogan can become a parade sign. That blend of motion, community, and wordplay gives Holiday Parade a story beyond its vehicle shapes.
