1973 was the first year that Hallmark released ornaments, they weren't called "Keepsake" Ornaments yet, but went under the name "Hallmark Tree Trimmer."
This frosted glass ball is shimmering silver-white with a silver cap and plastic, printed sleeve. The teal background has a purple polka dot border on one side, with a solid green border, then solid purple border, forming a frame surrounding two angels playing lutes, while hovering across from each other. The bottom reads: "CHRISTMAS IS LOVE" with blue/pink daisies above and below in a filigree border around all sides. On the reverse side, an olive green background has a teal polka dot border, followed by a solid purple rectangular border under it, and then a teal border polka dotted within the solid rectangle, framing the sentiment "CHRISTMAS IS YOU." Hearts and filigree plumes with purple tulip buds and blue daisies fan out like fern fronds in a 70's stylized poster-art design.
Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
