1979 Christmas Traditions
1979 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QX2539
This 1979 Hallmark Christmas Ornament is part of the Tree-Trimmer Collection and features a golden glass ball with metal cap and transparent plastic sleeve, depicting a holiday display of Christmas "Americana." Two scenes are bordered in red, with a rustic, carved-wood paneled wall as the backdrop, and garland with holly, along the edge of an old-fashioned looking kitchen counter. One side a chiming clock, glass bulbs, and vintage children's toys, with the message, "The old may be replaced with new, traditions rearranged, but the wonder that is Christmas will never, ever change. 1979." The other side has a large metal scale full of fresh fruit and evergreen branches, a mason jar of colorful candy, a tall nutcracker soldier, candle-lit lantern with holly cluster on top, and a basket of glass bulb ornaments, interspersed with evergreen branches, in front of a Christmas storybook. The ornament is also dated on the copyright, printed on the edge of the plastic sleeve, at the bottom. It's package in the original "window" box, viewable from all sides, so you can see the entire bulb.
Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
