1980 Grandparents - Damaged Box
1980 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QX2134DB
This 1980 Hallmark Christmas Ornament is part of the Tree-Trimmer Collection and features a golden, glass ball, with metal cap and transparent, plastic sleeve printed with a reproduction of Currier & Ives' "Early Winter." Both panels are bordered with an ornate, metallic-gold scrollwork with holly leaves in an Art Deco style. One side shows the image of a snow-covered country home with skaters on the pond. It's dated "1980" in the top right corner and the sentiment on the other side is: "Grandparents have beautiful ways of giving, of helping, of teaching...and especially of loving," with a line drawing of a house in the top left corner. The ornament is packaged in the original "window" box, viewable from all sides, so you can see the entire bulb.
Disclaimer: As with many older glass ball ornaments, it may have developed "age spots," which is normal with older ornaments.
NOTE: Golden glass balls have a tendency to develop more age spots than white, frosted, or chrome balls, and this is normal aging for that material.
