1982 Christmas Kitten
1982 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QX4543
This 1982 Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament features a cute, classic ginger tabby kitten, with a Christmas bell hanging around her neck by a red satin ribbon. NOTE: This ornament was reissued by Hallmark in 1983. It can "sit" on it's own, or be hung from the top and is packaged in the original, full color box.
Fun Fact: All orange, or "ginger" cats are, genetically-speaking, considered to be tabbies. Approximately 80% of these are male, due to how the gene for coat color is inherited on the X chromosome. A cat's color pattern is dependent upon the agouti gene, which creates hairs with alternating light and dark bands, so even black cats can have hidden tabby patterns, when viewed in direct sunlight.
