1979 Thimble #2, Soldier - Damaged Box
1979 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
QX1319DB
Second in the Thimble Hallmark ornament series. This ornament was issued in 1979 and 1980.
The 1979 Christmas ornament is part of the Tree-Trimmer Collection and features a little black-haired soldier, made to look as if he were carved from wood, wearing a metallic-silver thimble as a hat. His long red jacket has metallic-gold epaulets and buttons, and his black belt has a metallic-gold buckle. He is at attention, saluting you with a smile, with his left hand held high. The thimble has the copyright on the back and the ornament can stand on it's own, or be hung from the top. This ornament is packaged in the original box with a clear plastic lid and green flocked velvet plastic insert, molded for protection. It's also available as part of a trio, in the
Little Trimmer Set, along with A Matchless Christmas and Angel Delight.
